Installation
Add your application by wizard
You can add your application via the integration wizard, you can find the button for this on the dashboard page.
After clicking the start integrating button a pop up will appear with the wizard, please make sure you do not use any pop-up blocker at this point.
Click next and in the following screen you can add your applications that you want to connect. Search for Exact Online and click on the Application.
For Exact Online the following fields need to be filled in for a successful connection to be established.
- Display Title: The name of the application, no special requirements.
- This can be useful if there are multiple Exact Online applications, to be able to distinguish between them.
- Client ID: This is the API Username found in Exact Online.
- Check the next section for description on how to find this.
- Client Secret: This is the API Password found in Exact Online.
- Check the next section for description on how to find this.
- Country: This is the country for which the Exact Online is applicable.
- See the table below in this manual to find the country code. The options are: nl, be, fr, uk.
- Division: The division number of the designated administration.
- Check the next section for description on how to find this.
Exact Online settings location
Client ID/Secret
To find the client credentials required by the Exact Online Application, please follow the next few steps.
- Go back to Login to Exact Online and open the App Centre. If this option is not available, please contact Exact support.
- In the opened window, please select the 'Manage my Apps' option. If this option is not available, please contact Exact support.
- In the next screen, please select the button that says "Register a production app"
- On the next screen, give your production app a recognizable name, and fill in the Redirect URi with the following value: https://app.apicenter.io/oauth/callback/exact-online
- Upon registration, a new window will open with the credentials needed for ApiCenter. Please make sure to copy the designated credentials and fill them in on the ApiCenter form.
Country
Based on your Exact Online please enter the used country code, the options are:

Division
To find the division number required by the Exact Online Application, please follow the next few steps.
- Go back to https://start.exactonline.nl/ and Login. NOTE: don't use the Safari browser for this. Next, open the administration for which the connection has to be made. Click in the left top on the administration ID.
- You can retrieve your division number by entering this URL while you're logged in: https://start.exactonline.nl/docs/XMLDivisions.aspx
When settings are filled out, the result installation form should look something like this.
Up next, click the 'Authorize' button and log in with your Exact Online credentials in the window that follows.
Click save to save the application credentials and click test connection te complete.
Now you have succesfully added the Exact Online application, you need to enter the second application, which you would like to set up the integration with Exact Online with. See the Application Manuals page on how to setup the second application you want to use.
In step 3 you can select the packages that you want to make use of. These packages are the flows that determine what data is send from and to Exact Online.
In step 4 you can set the all the settings that tweaks your integration without adjusting mappings and or adjusting code. In this step you need to do this for all your flows. The settings we have standard enabled and disabled are based upon 90% of the integrations we currently have running.
Step 5 finishes the wizard and on this point you can enable the flows to start running, if you want to adjust advanced settings we advice to start them manually in the integrations overview.
